Here is all the important information you need about sending film to us over the festive season!
Opening Times
Our office will be closed on Christmas Eve (24th December), and we will be returning early in the new year (Monday 4th January). This means there will be no delays to standard scan delivery timescales over the festive period this year. Woo hoo!
Christmas Cut-Off Times
In order to have your scans back before Christmas, please ensure that your film reaches us as soon as possible, and no later than 21st December.
If you are unsure whether you can meet this deadline please feel free to email us at hello@canadianfilmlab.com because – depending on current volume of film in the lab – we may still be able to deliver your scans to you before Christmas.
Shipping information
For clients in Canada sending film via Canada Post: You may continue to send film in over this period as usual, and we will acknowledge your order when we reopen.
For clients in Canada using a courier service (Fedex, UPs, Purolator etc.) You may still send in your film as usual, but please remember to email us with your tracking information.
For clients from outside Canada using our DHL service: If you are booking a DHL pick-up via our website we recommend arranging your pick-up as soon as possible for pre-Christmas scan delivery, and no later than 14th December. If your film arrives with us on or before 21st December we will have your scans back with you before Christmas. The office will be closed from 24th December and we will be unable to arrange DHL pick-ups until we reopen on 4th January. Any DHL pick-ups requested over this time period will be arranged when we return to the office on 4th January.
For clients from outside Canada using our ‘Film Forwarding’ service: Please note that our last DHL ‘film forwarding’ pick-ups for the year will take place on Friday 11th December and Tuesday 15th December. In the UK there appears to be slightly slower than usual service from Royal Mail, so please bear this in mind when sending in your film.

It’s going to be an unusual festive period for us all, and difficult for many. We hope everyone stays safe, healthy and positive despite all that is going on in the world.
Thank you so much to everyone who has sent film to us in 2020. We are so grateful to have continued our relationships with so many of you, and to have welcomed new members to the CFL ‘film family’.
